Teach at more than one school? Have children at different schools? Are you both a tutor and a platform admin? Smart School keeps all of that under one email and password — you don't need separate logins.
How it works
Your email is your identity. Each school you belong to is a separate membership with its own role — you might be a teacher at one school, a parent at another, and a private tutor on your own. They all share the same sign-in.
- Your data in each school stays separate. Schools can't see each other's information.
- One password works everywhere. Change it once and it updates for every school.
Choosing a school when you sign in
- Sign in as usual with your email and password — see Sign in to Smart School.
- If your email belongs to more than one school, you'll see a Choose a school screen.
- Tap the school you want to open. You land on that school's dashboard.
If you sign in from a specific school's web address, Smart School opens that one directly and skips the chooser.
Switching once you're signed in
You don't have to sign out to move to another school:
- Look for the school name with a
Switch
option — it sits at the top of the screen (and in the menu). It only appears when your account belongs to more than one school. - Tap it to see your other schools.
- Pick one — Smart School opens it right away, no password needed.
Tutors and admins who wear two hats
The same works across very different roles. If your email is both a private tutor and a platform administrator (or a school teacher), both show up as memberships:
- Open the Choose a school screen or the Switch menu.
- Pick the platform-admin membership to manage the platform, or a teaching membership to run your classes.
You move between them the same way you'd switch between two schools — one sign-in, no re-entering your password.
Good to know
- The Switch option only appears if your email actually belongs to more than one school. If you only see one, you have a single membership.
- Not seeing a school you expect? Make sure that school added you with the same email. If it used a different address, ask their office to update it — see Sign in to Smart School.
